But on Wednesday afternoon, the Duchess of Cambridge was given her first military-linked job. Introducing Kate as the new Honorary Air Commandant of the Air Cadets.
The 33-year-old now represents an organization of 42,000 air cadets who range in age from 12 to 19.

The role was previously held by Prince Phillip who was praised for his work over recent decades at this week's ceremony.
