President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed an acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission.

The appointment of Shettima Bukar-Abba as the acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission, (FCC) was on Wednesday, approved by President Buhari.

Shettima takes over the commission following the unprecedented demise of the former Chairman of the agency, Muhammad Bello Alkali on Friday, January 8.

Prior to this appointment, Shettima was the federal commissioner representing Borno State in the commission.
