President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mr. Ibrahim Mustafa Magu as the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), a State House press statement said.
Mr. Magu, an Assistant Commissioner of Police, takes over from Mr. Ibrahim Lamorde, who was fired earlier yesterday.

The statement said Mr. Lamorde who got the job in 2011, would proceed on terminal leave ahead of the formal expiration of his tenure next February.
